Course Structure
Undergraduate Multidimensional
course structures of all the courses at School of Fashion Technology
offer a complete insight into various levels of Fashion and Apparel
Industry viz; designing, production, merchandising and marketing.
Core units of Undergraduate course provide students firm base to
which value addition is provided through various specializations
offered at all levels eg. Marketing and promotion, Apparel Designing
etc. The learning outcomes comprise knowledge and skill enhancement
programmes focusing upon communication skills, computer aided designing,
interactive sessions, presentationsand guest lectures.
The curriculum comprises 50% core subjects, 25-30% core electives
and balance 8-10 subjects are of optional
nature. While the core and core electives pertain to the department,
the optionals can be drawn from any other discipline.
Optional may be chosen from within the department too. Undergraduate
degrees of 3 years duration require a student to complete a minimum
of 130 course credits with a minimum of 1.75 CGPA. Minimum time
duration to complete an undergraduate course is 30 months, while
maximum is 48 months.
