Course Structure

Undergraduate study curriculum of the Institute of Design Engineering and Architecture (IDEA) provides a core
around which the students can build to become professionals of Graphic Designing, Interior Designing and
Architecture Technology and Construction Management. The students upon conferring of degree can choose to become a practicing construction manager. The skills and attributes emphasized in the educational program go beyond the formal classroom curriculum and include communication and teamwork skills, computer literacy, design, ability of self learning, seminars, group discussions, site visits, etc.

The curriculum comprises 70% of core subjects, 15% of core electives and balance of 6-7 subjects are of optional nature. While the core and core electives pertain to the department, the optional can be drawn from any other discipline. Optionals may be chosen from within the department too.
